Shock All Purpose Cleaner

Shock is a great product for anyone who wishes to wash a car, motorcycle, or other vehicle before applying the BOM. Shock is not made from animal fats or petroleum products like soap and many other cleaners. Soap or petroleum based cleaners make dirt and dust stick like a magnet. Think about the soap and dirt that stick to your shower curtain and walls.)  A couple of capfuls of Shock in a bucket of water is enough to wash your car or bike.

Shock will let you wash, degrease, or remove stains from any fabric or material quickly and easily. Shock is a concentrate that you mix with water at various strengths, according to the cleaning job that you are doing. At medium strength, a 32 ounce bottle makes 16 quarts of cleaner.  Shock can be used to clean anything not harmed by water.

Before cleaning fabric or carpets with Shock Cleaner, test for colorfastness by spraying it on an area that will be hidden in the event that the color bleeds.

Cleaning Upholstery by Hand: Mix 1/4 cup of Shock Cleaner with 1/2 gallon of water in a bucket. Using a soft, natural colored sponge, swish the sponge around to create a foam. Squeeze the water out of the sponge and apply only the foam to the upholstry. Work the lather over the upholstery in sections, then follow right behind with a clean dry towel to remove excess moisture. Allow the upholstery to dry.

Cleaning Carpets by Hand: Mix 1/4 cup of Shock Cleaner 1/2  gallon of water in a bucket. Using a soft fiber scrub brush, mix the solution rapidly to create a lather. Scoop the foam off the top of the water and place it on the carpet. Shake the excess water off the scrub brush and use it to work the foam down into the carpet, using short overlapping strokes. Allow the carpet to dry completely and vacuum.

Using Carpet Cleaning Machines: Mix 1/4 cup of Shock Cleaner with 1/2 gallon of water in a bucket. Pour this solution into the tank of the cleaning machine and clean according to the machines instructions.

Cleaning Spots and Stains: Mix 1/4 cup of Shock Cleaner with water in a 32 ounce spray bottle. Spray the cleaner onto the stain, work the cleaner into the stained area with a sponge or brush, then wipe the stain out with a clean dry towel.
